Here I will write a little about what I like to do, or what my interests are, and a little of this and that.

 

I have lots of interests and hobbys. Probably more so than most.

I have a big interests in anything that has to do with tanks, especially WW2 German tanks, but also modern tanks of all nations. I read alot about new advancements and technology and is fascinated by the very design of these armored behemoths. In almost all decisions concerning the design on tanks and armored vehicles, it all boils down to a single thing called function, it's always function before form in the design stages. But still, they always looks so damn cool as if they where designed to be just that, cool. It's this fact that fascinates me so much. How is it possible?

There have been a few movies that have had this thinking too, when designing their props and stuff for the movie, even if it's also designed to look cool in itself. These movies are usually the ones that ends up forming the minds of the artists of it's generation. For me it has to be Aliens by James cameron (and Alien by Ridley Scott too, Nostromo is just so damn beautiful), and I'm sure it is the same for many more artists out there.
There are a few others, like Starwars (not the new crap, but the real ones) ;) Even though Starwars designers might not have had this in mind, it still used the clunky and dirty look of all it's props, and this in a way still made the movies feel real, or possible, despite it's setting in a galaxy far far away. ;)

My interests in armour designs leads us in to my next big hobby, scale models. Ofcourse, it contains all the elements 3D artists like, except animation (but coming to think of it, why not? :P ) I use airbrush for painting, and ordinary brushes. I also use artists oils for weathering and general painting. It's extremely satisfying for both mind and soul to work with this medium.

I also do alot of mountainbiking, fun but expensive. But it is for your own health, so it is worth it, costwise.

HiFi, anyone? Nothing that I really do that much these days, I'm happy with my stuff nowdays and enjoying the fruits of my former so expensive hobby. :)

Photography. BIG part of my life. I love using my camera and lenses.

Music. Yes, that's right. I got a small "studio" with real synths and stuff. Mixer, monitors and a "serious" external sound interface. I have million of Ideas and zero time. Someday, someday. :)

Flying radiocontrolled helicopters. Extremely fun, and satisfying. I have a small Trex helicopter. Planing to move up to something bigger sometime. Still haven't had a single crash, even though it was near one time. :)
